One of the largest settlements of the ancient Indus Valley Civilization, and one of the world's earliest major cities Mohenjo-Daro or "Mound of the Dead". It is one of the most advanced cities of its time. This ancient Indus Valley Civilization city flourished between 2600 and 1900 BCE. The well planned street grid and proper drainage system show us that the people of the ancient Indus civilization of Mohenjo-Daro were skilled in design and good planning. The ancient city is situated at an elevation in the modern Larkana district of Sindh province in Pakistan. During its golden time, the city supposed to had a population of around 40,000. The city was discovered in 1911 it remained buried in dirt for thousands of years until excavations began around 1922. Even after excavations of three decades, only 20 percent of the entire site has been discovered. Further excavations were banned due to fears of damage to the ruins. Mohenjo-Daro ruins clearly indicate that the main focus while planning the city was the comfort of its people.

All In All
No royal palaces, buildings & almost negligible signs of any kind of major religious temples, it could be believed that Mohenjo-Daro civilization is more a kind of practical, urban, trade, and comfort-oriented which makes it different from others and of course the one with good hygienic people of its time at least way better than Egyptian & Mesopotamian.
But How the Indus civilization and Mohenjo-Daro disappeared ? is still a mystery.
