North Sentinel Island - 60,000 Years Old Community

Situated in the Bay of Bengal in the Indian Ocean, the North Sentinel Island is one of the most isolated places on Earth. The island is in effect a sovereign area under Indian protection. Around the size of Manhattan, this remote island is home to the Sentinel Tribe, the world's most dangerous tribe. Sentinelese are believed to have inhabited the island for over 60,000 years. Survival International, which advocates for tribal peoples’ rights, describes the Sentinelese as ‘the most vulnerable society on the planet’ as they are likely to have no immunity to common diseases such as flu and measles. It is a crime even attempt to make contact with the Sentinelese, and in 2017 Indian authorities also outlawed taking photographs or making videos of the tribe. Also, it is illegal to go within 3-4 miles of this island.

Why Travel Is Restricted?
The Protection of Andaman and Nicobar Islands Tribal Tribes Act, 1956 prohibits any visit to the island and any approach closer to five nautical miles (9.26 km) to protect the tribals resident from diseases for which they have no immunity. The area is patrolled by the Indian Navy. In 2006, two people were killed by the tribe when they were fishing close to North Sentinel Island. Also after many attempts by the authorities one thing that Sentinelese has made clear with their reactions that they don't want contact with the outsiders and are doing just fine on their own.

In a nutshell, we can conclude that "The tribes of the islands do not need outsiders to protect them, what they need is to be left alone."
