Mesopotamia means 'Land Between The Rivers' and those two rivers are the Tigris and Euphrates. Mesopotamia is not just one of the first places to develop agriculture, but Mesopotamian Civilization Is also The Oldest Civilization Of The World. Mesopotamia - modern-day Iraq(mostly) and Kuwait, in particular, is often referred to as the cradle of civilization. Mesopotamia comprises four regions :

Sumer (Southernmost Region)

Babylonia & Akkad (Middle Region)

Assyria (Northernmost Region)

The Sumerians were the first to unfold a proper system of writing known as 'cuneiform'. The cuneiform script was invented in 3400 BC & found on clay tablets. It was deciphered by Henry Rawlinson. Mesopotamians discovered the well popular Pythagoras' Theorem. The invention of the wheel is also credited to the Mesopotamians. The Mesopotamians also considered the first to make glassware. Another remarkable invention of the Mesopotamians was the Lunar Calendar, based on the
