CONTINENT MODELS

 The Total Landmass on earth is comprised of 7 continents. Each one of these continents has its special contribution to the world. Some of these continents are connected via land. The term 'continent ' is used to differentiate the large surfaces of the earth into which all the land surface of Earth is divided.

How Many Continents Exactly We Have?

Well, There Are Different Models Followed By The Different Nations As Follows :

7 Continents Model

This is the most widely adopted model and it classifies the following seven continents:

Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia, North America, South America, and Antarctica.

6 Continents Model

There are two types of 6 continent models :

First, In which North America+South America is considered as the single continent "America" (or "Americas"). Mostly used in France, Italy, Spain, Greece, and Latin America, etc.

Second, which combines Europe + Asia into the single continent "Eurasia". It is mostly used in  Eastern Europe, Russia, Japan, etc.

5 Continents Model

Its the combination of both the 6 continents model Africa, Eurasia, America, Australia, and Antarctica.

All these continents together constitute less than one-third of the earth's surface whereas more than two-thirds of the Earth's surface is covered by water. In fact, Earth is around 71 percent water and 29 percent of the land.

पृथ्वी पर कुल भूमि 7 महाद्वीपों से युक्त है। इनमें से हर एक महाद्वीप का दुनिया में अपना विशेष योगदान है। इनमें से कुछ महाद्वीप भूमि के माध्यम से एक दूसरे से जुड़े हुए हैं।

विभिन्न राष्ट्रों द्वारा अनुसरण किए जाने वाले विभिन्न मॉडल हैं:

7 महाद्वीप मॉडल

यह सबसे व्यापक रूप से अपनाया गया मॉडल है और यह निम्नलिखित सात महाद्वीपों को वर्गीकृत करता है:

एशिया, अफ्रीका, यूरोप, ऑस्ट्रेलिया, उत्तरी अमेरिका, दक्षिण अमेरिका और अंटार्कटिका।

6 महाद्वीपों मॉडल

6 महाद्वीप मॉडल के दो प्रकार हैं:

पहला, जिसमें उत्तरी अमेरिका + दक्षिण अमेरिका को एकल महाद्वीप "अमेरिका" (या "अमेरिका") माना जाता है। ज्यादातर फ्रांस, इटली, स्पेन, ग्रीस और लैटिन अमेरिका आदि में उपयोग किया जाता है।

दूसरा, जो एकल महाद्वीप "यूरेशिया" में यूरोप + एशिया को जोड़ता है। इसका उपयोग ज्यादातर पूर्वी यूरोप, रूस, जापान आदि में किया जाता है।

5 महाद्वीप मॉडल

यह दोनों 6 महाद्वीपों के मॉडल का संयोजन है। अफ्रीका, यूरेशिया, अमेरिका, ऑस्ट्रेलिया और अंटार्कटिका।

ये सभी महाद्वीप मिलकर पृथ्वी की सतह का एक तिहाई से भी कम हिस्सा बनाते हैं जबकि पृथ्वी की सतह का दो-तिहाई से अधिक हिस्सा पानी से ढका हुआ है। वास्तव में, पृथ्वी लगभग 71 प्रतिशत जल और 29 प्रतिशत भूमि है।
